Earning Your Trust And Exceeding Your Expectations

About Our Practice

Ben Prinsloo Orthopedics was established in 2005. The success is owed to our values and principles of quality and innovation we apply during consulting and the manufacturing process resulting in supplying quality Orthotic and Prosthetic products that promote good health.

We practice out of Brooklyn and Sunnyside in Pretoria with fully equipped laboratories and workshops.

Our expertise focus on injury rehabilitation, musculoskeletal health and degenerative joint problems for both adults and children. We manufacture all types of custom bracing, prosthetic’s and also supply nursing equipment. Recovering from a debilitating injury or condition, or finding the best solution to protracted physical disabilities are probably the most challenging situations any patient can face; we understand this and are always ready to assist with expert guidance, craftsmanship and best technology innovation.

We empower our patients by providing clear analysis and options on achieving the best outcomes aligned with expectations of what they can achieved both physically and mentally.

We also specialise in orthopaedic, surgical and prosthetic equipment.

Ben Prinsloo Orthopaedics is accredited with the HPCSA and Board of Health funders for medical aids.

Meet Our Team

Ben Prinsloo

Owner / Orthotist

I spent most of my childhood in Venda where my love of nature and the outdoors was founded. It was this connection to nature that fosters my beliefs in the principles of balance and giving back.

We moved to Pretoria in the mid-nineties where I matriculated and graduated in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Tshwane University of Technology. I worked for a boot-maker where I made prosthetics before I started my own practice. It was this exposure in the boot making that grew my passion for foot orthotics and prosthetics.

Having teachers as parents, I applied the skill learnt from childhood to work with people and to transfer knowledge. I have a passion for my work and assisting people to increase their life quality. I’ve been invited to learn robotic prosthetics in 2018 and will start applying this new and exciting technology in both practice; giving back and enhancing the lives of my patients.

Giving back to the community is another passion which became a reality; Ben Prinsloo Oorthopaedicse is registered with Tshwane University of Technology and a certified training facility where the next generation of Orthotists get to do their practical’s and hone their skills. Personally, there is nothing as rewarding as seeing interns help patients for the first time and giving back.

Since childhood, I’ve wanted to be a game ranger and help out injured animals. I initially started making prosthetics for domestic animals in my spare time and recently started making prosthetics for wild animals.

When I’m not busy at the practice with my patients or helping out handicapped animals I spend time with my family and friends. I’m a dedicated family man that believes in investing time, love and undevoted attention to the ones I love; full circle.
